Ph.D. Thesis: Evaluation

A Ph.D. dissertation will be evaluated by two referees except the supervisor/s.

A Ph.D. dissertation, which is a collection of articles already published in well-known scientific journals, the Head of the Authority for Research Students may consider to appoint a single referee except the supervisor/s.

The process of the appointment of referees, the evaluation and the discussion of the evaluations might take 4 - 6 months.

If the student is required to correct the dissertation he will be instructed regarding the period of time allowed for corrections.

Students who need a complete approval of their degree for a post-doc position or a job must submit their thesis as early as possible.

**Please note - when submitting the doctoral thesis, additional documents must be submitted, as detailed in the 'instructions for writing and submitting the thesis' file ( 'Ph.D. Thesis' - - ‘Ph.D. thesis format'), among them are the supervisor's report and his/her recommendation for possible referees.

Upon submission of all required documents, an official confirmation of the doctoral thesis submission will be given.
